This beach is even longer than Iztuzu, the golden sand is fringed with pines and sweeping views east to the mouth of the Dalaman River and the mountains that surround Fethiye. Baba Adasi, a small island of rock just offshore protects the beach. The rock just offshore protects the beach. The water is colder due to fresh springs which flow to the sea from the westernmost cove. Unfortunately, unlike Iztuzu, Sarigerme has not been saved from the developments but most are set back and obscured by the pine trees.

The sign for Sarigerme is posted from the D400 just east of Ortaca and from here the beach itself is just over 25kms away.

Ekincik, Bacardi and Asi Beaches

Most of the boat trips from the town offer trips to bays either side of Iztuzu. En route to Ekincik there are some good caves for snorkelling. Bacardi Bay is prettier and makes a lovely location for a barbecue lunch which is often included in the daily boat trip price.

Asi Bay is difficult to reach by road and is best not attempted unless you have a jeep (or tractor). The cooperative boats usually go to Asi Bay and if not, you can ask to include it. The beach is a stark contrast to Iztuzu, the sand is dark grey and the bay narrow.
